College students battle in an over-the-board league for the title of best in collegiate play.
The Spring 2023 Season invites college students from any state to participate in a series of twelve Swiss System G/60 d5 games in Boston, Massachusetts from January through April, 2023. Players earn individual points. Trophies are given to the individual players with the most points for each section. School teams consist of the top 4 players from the same school, and plaques are given to the school teams with the most points in each section. Kick off was Saturday, January 28, 2023. The second meet was held on February 5 and the third on March 5. Play continues this Sunday: April 2, 2023 Players can join the tournament on any of these dates. Sections by rating: Open, U1800, U1500, U1000. New players welcomed. Round times are 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 4:30pm All events held at the Boylston Chess Club, downtown Boston, 35 Kingston St, Boston, MA There is no charge to play.
